Camp Sonic

According to a recent poll held here at Camp Sonic, a majority of our voters decided that they were going to be purchasing Sonic Unleashed for the Nintendo Wii this holiday season. Over 51% of you decided that the Nintendo Wii was the console to play Sonic Unleashed on, while the Xbox 360 came in second with 29% of votes, and the PS2 and PS3 received 10% and 7% respectively.

Only 3% of you are yet to decide which console you’ll be getting the game for.

From the sounds of it (or what little information we’ve received thus far), the Nintendo Wii will be the primary console which the game is being built for, while the other next generation consoles will be getting slightly more polished versions. Whether or not any of them will be getting online modes, or extra features, no one can say for sure yet, but we hope to learn more soon!

Thanks for voting!

Just to let you know, the Wii is a next gen console since it’s in the same generation as the 360 and the PS3. Actually if you want to get really accurate, next gen will be the next wave of consoles due out in something like 6 years and the ones we have now are current gen.

Actually, just because most of the people here voted for the Wii doesn’t make this a must have for it, or even a must buy for any console. Sonic just might come back with this one, but I doubt it. After a reputation of games that “look” good when first introduced, but end up being ****, I think I’ll just stand back for a while, and see what they show off. This game looks promising, but so far, it’s following the same pattern of all the others…

I can certainly see where you’re coming from Jonny, being a huge skeptic of the past few Sonic games myself. For me, the last decent game was pre-dreamcast, and after that, things just have gone downhill.

I’m keeping my mind open to this one, since to me it seems to be getting back to the core of what Sonic is all about. I haven’t decided personally what console I’ll be getting it for, but the community here decided that the Wii was the most probable choice overall.

Those graphics arent from the wii version, but hopfully sega cant make a beautiful wii game. I counldnt vote either, but i would get it for the wii, since the last sonic game i enjoyed (that wasnt portable or originaly on dreamcast) was Secret Rings. I just wish sega polishes up the gameplay , controls, and makes a story that doesnt completely suck.

I’ll probably be picking it up for the 360 myself. I love my Wii to death, but when I’m playing games that are available on both consoles, I enjoy the visual quality from my Xbox.

If the game was of the same quality, well sure, id get it for 360 too, but sonic 06 (for ps360) was a bad game, that looked great, while secret rings was a fun game, that looked better than your average wii game. I hope people understand where im coming from.
