A few days ago, we speculated that SEGA might have some big plans involving Sonic Unleashed during this years E3. While we certainly won’t rule out anything being revealed on SEGA’s Gamer’s Day this May, our speculation seems to have some evidence backing it now.
According to a list revealing this years companies attending E3 2008, SEGA of America, Microsoft, Nintendo of America, and Sony all are slated to be exhibiting. It might just be us, but wouldn’t it be silly to show up to E3 WITHOUT what most would consider to be their biggest title in years?
Anyways, that’s just a little food for thought.

Its pretty interesting. Also, Sega has completely changed the format of their site and i cant figure out how to navigate it just yet. I cant find the official game site for sonic unleashed and i cant find sonic central.

Sonic Central appears to redirect to the new SEGA site for the time being. I’m guessing that they’re ditching it altogether (at least for the time being). It’s pretty clear that they’re keeping quite about Sonic Unleashed until their next big PR announcement.
Oh i didnt see that. Sorry about that. I’ll just let you do your job for now on then. Oh and one more thing i wanted to say was that the article reveals that the development will be focused on the controls during these current months as we ponder what they are working on. Pretty important stage of development. Good luck to them and godspeed sega.

@ xamoel - Definitely a possibility. They’ve got half a year left to polish this thing, so anything could happen.
I honestly can’t wait for more info on this game.I must’ve watched the gameplay trailer at least 47 times now.
The SEGA Blogs (UK) and the Blognik are back up, and AAUK has made a recent post at the main SEGA Blogs page, saying that SOA and SOE (also refered to as “SEGA West”) are going to be working together a bit more, maybe in regards to the web development for both regions, and mayhaps in regards to both SOA, SOE, and SOJ staying in touch with the Sonic Unleashed project. The revamp for the SEGA sites was made for the Americas and Europe in mind, the Japanese site still has the old layout.

Sonic City has been down for maintenance due to the high user load from the “Race to Name” contest for Sonic Chronicles and Sonic Central (US)…well, it’s down too. It hasn’t had a major revamp for quite sometime. I’d assume that they’re planning to roll out the next version of Sonic City, but also a better version of Sonic Central, probably for Gamer’s Day, maybe sooner, or later.
Can’t wait to see more on the Gamer’s Day and for E3. Does anybody know when Gamer’s Day is? o____o;;
