Almost 10 brand new screenshots from Sonic Unleashed were just revealed on IGN as a little eye candy from SEGA Gamer’s Day which took place on May 14th.
Everything’s still looking great to us! Also, we should probably note that these screenshots are all from the PS3 or Xbox 360 build. We are yet to see any screenshots from the Nintendo Wii version of Sonic Unleashed.

looks great,but the leaves and blooms look way to polygonal..
But you won’t see that when you go top speed
They should bring back the debug code + the ability to go Super Sonic in levels. If this game is suppose be better than the genesis titles I’d expect nothing less.
i don’t have a 360 or ps3 so i hope the ps2 version is the same as the others and not like the wii version

I like what I’m hearing so far. It seems like sega really is trying to make this the best sonic game!
It is very possible that this game may be “reviewed” as much better than the Genesis games… even if those in the Sonic community disagree.

Good news: Sonic Unleashed is the closest to the Genesis title with amazing visuals. (Almost like the coming of the sega jesus kid or whatever.)
Bad news: Frame rate is only 30fps…

About the Greece stage.
IGN stated the stage actually is Greece. Which before, i thought it was suppose to be inspired by Greece. This is really awsome to me because im greek american. So this makes me love sonic even more.

I would gladly have a half-year delay,if that mean that the framerate is 60,and the gameplay is more flawless.

I’ll love this game if I have a PS3 or a 360…but unfortunately I have a Wii…so I hope the Wii version turns out fine…
I think it’s a smart idea that they’re making the game at 30 fps.Just look at sonic 06 and sonic and the secret rings:once you start to go fast you can’t see where the hell you’re going and end up hitting something.
Looks great! I hope this game will be really fun. But this game may be a bad game. Sonic 06 looked amazing on the trailers but the game was not so fun. But I hope this game will rock!

@ Osnic: Yes but they also never show any actual gameplay of 06 untill its release. Mean strategy .. just mean. Come to think of it. 06 flow right under the radar. It didnt even have an official name, so they called sonic the hedgehog again. Now just typing “sonic 06″ sounds like a game engine or calander or something. I am just realizing how much that really was a slap in the face to sonic and his fans.
We deserve for Unleashed to be nothing short of amazing. Heres hoping.

I don’t think this argument is very crippeling,because you can release the boost the moment you are getting in trouble with the speed.
And the paths..15 it was right?
Would that mean those regular subpaths that are so common in the 2-d sonic games,or really very diffirent paths that racidally change the experience?

According to that site, the game plays very much like Sonic Rush… so say what you like early… I personally like Sonic Rush… Sonic Rush is actually my favorite Sonic game… (though Sonic 3 & Knuckles may also be…)
If this game is “Sonic Rush Unleashed…” I’d love this!
ahem sonic rush is awsome. Id love it if they added air trick when free falling. wow sounds like a great idea to me
