It figures that the same day I make a case of there being no new Sonic Unleashed content, a brand new Sonic Unleashed Trailer is posted. I actually am not even around a computer at this point, so I’ll leave it up to you folks to talk about the video I’m posting, and join in when I am able to watch it myself. Update Below!

Found a working connection so that I could make a real update (and watch the video myself)! This new Sonic Unleashed video from the Xbox 360 features 2 full minutes of beautiful gameplay, chuck full of new gameplay elements, and incredible visuals of the Europe stage (which we pointed out was the 4th stage of Sonic Unleashed).
IGN’s posted both a low and high resolution version of the video, which you can grab here.
I noticed a few things I haven’t seen before during my first watch, such as Skydiving through tunnels with spikes floating around, and popups for when to press buttons to avoid danger. I’ll be updating our Facts Unleashed page soon, so if you notice anything new, be sure to share in the comments!
I thought I was excited when I saw the first trailer for this game… but now Sega’s raised my expectations to a whole new level.

@Brittanie: I don’t think anyone can say for sure when Sega will release new footage. I was definitely caught by surprise tonight when IGN released this new gameplay video.

I have returned my friends! Is Knuckles in this game? I hope he can turn Super. He couldn’t even turn Hyper in Sonic Riders. I think Rouge can do something along those lines in Sonic Adventure 2.

@admin: Do You think they’ll be releasing any of the night footage soon. Not that what’s been shown already isn’t great, but still, wouldn’t actual footage or a screenshot of “were-Sonic” In action just fill a little more of that anticipating space?

Yeah, getting a name from Sega would be great… it’s been bothering me for a while now calling it so many things. I’d be willing to bet a bit that they’ll reveal some new things at E3 about the Werehog.
@admin: Myeh. I call it were-sonic, but who knows what the official name is yet. I’m waiting for SEGA to give us a name.
I hate seeing people say “ware” since ware means merchandise or goods. Then again, “were” isn’t that much better, since were comes from a latin word meaning man. So that would mean I’m calling him “Man-Sonic?”

Damn this game looks fast, I wonder how it’ll be on the wii. but I’m also wondering about the PS3, every time I find something else about this game I get angry because it seems like Fall 2008 won’t come fast enough.

Definitely Were-Sonic over “Ware” as you pointed out, but I don’t think there is an official name quite yet for what this form is called. I know one magazine at least used Werehog.

You know, the skydining thing isn’t a new concept. Remeber back to Sonic Adventure’s Final Egg level, where you free-fall to the bottom of the egg carrier. They sure have expanded on it, though.
