GoNintendo reports that the latest issue of Nintendo Power has some brand new Sonic Unleashed screenshots for the Nintendo Wii! What makes these screenshots so important is the fact that they are the first screens revealed for the Wii version of SU.
They’re not captured directly from the game (these are printed > scanned > recompressed), so the quality isn’t the best to judge from, but things seem to be coming along nicely for the Nintendo fans out there. If you catch wind of any more shots we may have missed, be sure to let us know in the comment area!

Seems very secret rings-ish.
It is not so nice when compared to the xbox360

The screens looks alright to me. The Wii screens looks more cartoony while the 360 screens looks more realistic.
wow well I dont really know what to think of this… first of all those graphics look good for the wii noting that they lost a lot of resolution from the scans, Im impressed I was thinking they would be worse, but still…it looks rubbish, and I know gameplay makes the games but knowing they both are basically the same I would buy the XBroke360 one but I dont have it, so yeah Im a bit happy and a bit upset I just really hope that picture lost a lot of resolution cuz it still doesnt match up with the xbox360, at least I know they r making the game good and it will have more than decent graphics ^^
Looks fine to me. I’ll still probably stick with PS3, but depending on the gameplay, you never know… at least it’s nice to know the wii version doesn’t look all that bad.
Well, I think its pretty good for Wii graphics and all. I just can’t take it when people are whining about it being bad because the 360 version is better which we obviously could tell from the beginning.
Since it is the only version of it I can get, I’ll get it, but either way it looks pretty good. I look forward to it even more
I just hope the gameplay elements to it are as close as it can be to the 360/ps3 versions.

but then again guys this isnt a video or anything this is scanned off of a magazine and compressed and stuff so the real screenshot or video when released is gonna look waaaay… better i mean really they can do a better job than this look at the graphics on Mario Galaxy they were insane
I’m looking forward to more. BUT! At least these look okay-ish. They’re grainy and what-not, but I don’t think the Wii can go much further than this.
Ofcourse it won’t be a match for the 360 or the ps3 because it is not using the hedgehog engine folks but if they changed thier mind and made a multiplayer in this game then i think my sister win’t be sad

Hmm… looks nice enough. Remember guys, these aren’t directly from the game, so the quality is probably better when you’re playing. I personally have no choice in the matter of which console I get it for, because I’m getting a Wii for Christmas. So I’m crossing my fingers and wishing SEGA/SonicTeam the best of luck on the Wii version!
But hannah! the wii won’t be using the new hedgehog engine. I hope you won’t regret it when you see the hedgehog engine on action in youtube when the game comes out.
I always buy the xboxes cuz they have the best support online ( you can redeem codes like when you do to increase your mobile telephone balance which means no need for credit cards yaay) and also they have the strongest graphics! even the XBOX 1 owns the ps2.

LOL let me tell you a thing or two. first i have a wii and it controls different than the game cube or any older nintendo systems. second is i hope that sonic unleashed supports the nintendo gamecube controls so that it will be fine with you ( i am not a rude guy and i will never be. i just talked that way to get your attention

but that’s just a bad still pic, the 360 version still looks kinda wierd on still photos but it looks awesome on video.

Slightly better than Secret Rings, and Secret Rings had some very good graphics!
I really hope they don’t change the gameplay too much from the 360 and PS3 versions, and I hope the towns are big, one of the only things from Sonic the Hedgehog Next Gen that I liked was running around the huge towns.

The Wii version is different, so I’ll get it and the 360/Ps3 version(depending on which system I buy). Graphics look nice…comparing it to Secret Rings is fine. Secret Rings had good graphics. The ONLY bad thing about Secret Rings was the control….

Sonic looks way too dark colored. Even Mario & Sonic, Secret Rings and I guess Sega Superstars Tennis do a better job.
I hope it matches Secret Rings quality, since that looks very good compared to the Sonic ‘06 failure.
Usually I don’t care too much about graphics, but since Sega owes a lot to Nintendo (Mario & Sonic, anyone?), they can’t make it to not use the Wii’s graphics card to its full potential.
Anyway, it looks good, not great, but that’s probably because of the compression like others said. Anyway, I hope the Wii version turns out as great(/better, like Secret Rings was) than the PS360 version.

The games not finished yet. I guess they’ll add that final layer of gloss in the last month or so. I mean really, would you rather have an ugly game that played well or a pretty game that played like ****? (Secret Rings vs. Sonic 06!)

I thought the Secret Rings graphics were nice enough…Night Palace FTW! The levels looked great anyway.
The Wii version seems a tad inferior to the Xbox 360 version, but it’s still a nice look to give. Is there a change in the level design there?
As long as it plays good sounds good and looks good on all consoles I’m happy
But I’m not so sure about town stages where sonic runs around doing peoples dirty work for them. I read Unleashed produccer Akinon talking about them.

The first one is brilliant! The second one seems poor quality but it could just be the scan. Anyway I don’t care too much for the graphics it’s the gameplay I wanna see. I probaly won’t have to worry about how the Wii version turns out ’cause I’m hoping to get a 360 as my next console. I can’t wait to see a trailer of the Wii version though.

@ Kev: totally right u r, mg had killer grafx, sonics fur should be a lighter shade of blue though… plus its still in developement and the picture is from a frikin magazene which always make games look crappy, the screens for s.a.t.s.r. were crappy beyond diaria in np, not to mention their finnaly using normal-maping, an element used in dewys adventure!! will obviously look brilliant!! XD
i hope they make them better >=O if this is a joke is not funny at all and i will sell my wii and buy a frekin 360 damn it…… i wanna cry ;(

The Xbox 360 version is lucky.Sonic was running with his fists out.I thought the PS2 & Wii version would do that.But, I notice he was running with his hands out. Pretty weird,huh?
