Camp Sonic

Today SEGA released a high resolution version of their High Europe Sonic Unleashed Trailer on their FTP servers.  I’m working on getting it hosted elsewhere, but for now you can grab it on their SEGAPR FTP server.

It weighs in at a massive 600MB+ .mov file, so this may be one for dial-up viewers to skip out on.  I’m sure someone will get to compressing it to a more reasonable size in the next few days.  If you haven’t gotten to see this trailer in all of its glory yet, you definitely need to see it in HD.  There is so much detail packed into this game, it’s really breathtaking.

Anyways, that’s probably enough updates Unleashed on all of you for the next week or so.  Haha.  Get it?  Unleashed?

Sheesh… it’s been a busy two days.

Okay I may be desperately late but heres what I found
I was re watching this trailer and a quick sight caught my eye.

I think these balloons serve as a propulsion system for going higher like the 2p mode of StH2 in Casino Night

Look at about 1:13 on. Watch carefully it’s fast

Oh… And I didn’t really give credit in the post… But it was really a lot of you who sent me notification (here or through mail), so don’t take it personally. I’ll probably pick a couple of the first submitters a pin or something :P

I’ve added scans in the latest post. I’m not feeling so well folks, so you’ll have to excuse the brief update (and the fact that I didn’t post them MUCH earlier). Gonna try to get some rest so I’ll be back to full speed soon!

Appreciate all of you who sent an email my direction ;)

@Maddok: agreed. These look far more promising, even if the quality of the scans aren’t brilliant. But yeah, s’all cool.

I like what I see for Sonic Unleashed on Wii!

I just think Sonic looks…too blue. Like the 360 vids show him to be light blue, but in these screens he’s a dark blue.

    Hope that is fixed…

I just finished watching both the 662 MB mov file and the 47.6 MB wmv file from gametrailers, and for those that are curious, and read the comments, the mov file that sega provides on their ftp server is a better quality than the gametrailers version. Is the difference in quality actually worth the MB size? I personally don’t think so, there is only a slight blurriness on my 15″ screen when I put the HD version from gametrailers to full screen.

An so, if anyone is going to loose sleep wondering about the difference, now you know. I do believe the gametrailers HD version is worth a download though. It’s still a very nice image compared to the previous quality ones.

Admin needs a new update for these magazine shots.

I downloaded and read the article. Seems like they are keeping most of the game underwraps till E3.

The fact that they were working with the guys that made Sonic Advance 2 and Sonic Rush means we could see some good 2D gameplay in the Wii version.(I’m really rooting for good bosses this time around)

Very nice. I’m downloading the trailer as we speak. =D
By the way, the Wii screens for the game were shown in a magazine. It’s not direct in-game footage so the screens look grainy and…papery. =P

But still, the Wii version looks alright.
