More fresh new Sonic Unleashed materials unveiled during E3! We’ve got brand new screenshots of Sonic Unleashed, and Weresonic isn’t quite as shy this time around! Grab’em while they’re hot folks!
These new Sonic Unleashed Screenshots come just moments after the new Sonic Unleashed Trailer was released, and are just as exciting to see, now that we have a basic idea of how Weresonic will function in the new title. Included in the three sets of new Screenshots are photos of Sonic during daytime hours in Africa and China, as well as Weresonic during the night in Mykonos.

Africa’s the level we saw in that first trailer WAAAAYYY back when, I think…it looks nice. It looks like it isn’t as finished as the other levels though, oddly.
The China level looks great.

Also, In the last few African screenshots, It’s starting to get dark, does that mean that near the nd of each level it will just start to go dark for the next stage, or is Normal Sonic’s and Weresonic’s levels combined?

Awesome did you notice that his shoes are all spiky? And i wonder what those monsters he is fighting are. The china level looks awesome and when pictures of new york are gonna be released.
i find it funny that the 3rd party games like sonic unleashed and megaman 9 are getting more attention and people are bored out of their heads in the nintendo part of e3

@Chaos Blast: Time flows throughout some parts of some stages. It could be one of those parts.
Very nice pictures. I am glad Were-Sonic doesn’t look quite as bad as I thought he would look. I want to know why the bottom part of his shoes are spiky myself. Doesn’t he wear the same shoes? I doubt the transformations would suddenly make the shoes change like that. If anything, his shoes should be ruined after a transformation. Heh, I can imagine Sonic complaining that his shoes are ruined after so many years of taking good care of them and how he is going to have trouble replacing them because normal shoes would burn out under the friction his speed would cause.
Am I the only one that realizes… that “WOLVES” and “foxes” aren’t that different of animals? Its like comparing Turkeys and Chickens. They speak the same langauge.
I think wolves… unlike foxes.. tend to be angry. Foxes probably make good pets (I’ve been trying to catch this fox in the forest for the longest… it keeps running away.)
WereSonic, looks like Sonic did in that episode of “Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog” when Sonic got really… fat. I think he had poison ivy or something…

Sonic is bigger now. I think he went to the store and changed his shoes. He may need a bigger size. Of course, Sonic can run faster than Mach speed… so you may not notice when he does that.

i knew it! in my gut this morning i had a deep feeling there was new sonic unleashed info and here i am tune into campsonic and david has posted this beautiful eye candy the werewolf gameplay is wonderful and has extinguished my doubts and the china level is really cool especially the dragon this stuff is really coming along!
@dunno: There is one problem with your theory and that is that normal shoes at a store would melt with Sonic’s speed. I do agree that he probably has changed out his shoes behind the scenes several times, but if I remember the comics properly, Uncle Chuck makes Sonic’s shoes specially for him because Sonic’s speed burns the normal shoes out too fast other wise. My main point was that how could he change his shoes right after he transforms or before he transforms? Another behind the scene thing perhaps? Or is it just Sega taking imaginative liberty rights?

Whoa, I just noticed something, besides Sonic’s shoes being more Spiky on the bottom there is a spiky like trail were Sonic’s Shoes usually go white. The funny thing is that it reminds of those spiked collars on guard dogs. I believe that’s intentional, I wonder if he has these new shoes right when he firsts transforms? If so, that means Sega took some liberty to change them because of his different form because Sonic couldn’t have bought them before hand.
I have a headache for the excitement I got when I watched the trailer, now….I just feel like I am going to have a heart attack. (kidding, but I am SUPER happy)
@DarkChaos, if Tails is in the story, he probably made it for him when he transforms, if he is Sonic’s buddy, he would do whats best for him and tried to help him as a wolf, I guess XDD

I think the shoes are just to emphasize Ware-Sonics Character, I don’t think theres any real reason for them changing. I mean were talking about a talking blue rodent with gloves and red shoes that runs the speed of sound, It wouldn’t be that strange for his shoes to change during transformation
His shoes kind of remind me of shadows shoes though… (Like the upturned toe part of the shoe)
@UmbreonTheDark: That would make sense if Sonic met up with Tails, but I think they are there when he firsts turns into a were which means Tails couldn’t have made them. As KuroBit said, it is most likely for emphasize, but I do like your idea UmbreonTheDark. Tails is my favorite character after all.
@KuroBit: It probably is just to emphasize Sonic’s transformation, with the spikes on his shoes where there is usually a white band to make someone think of a dangerous guard dog, but I like to place logic on these things for the fun of it, if I can.
