  6. Jujuchan July 16, 2008

the homing attack looks kinda incomplicated, it just a blue cylinder from behind sonic, so I hope its just unfisished and not that they just got lazy.

  7. bluehog45 July 16, 2008

  14. bluehog45 July 16, 2008

  15. the music when youre in werehog form sounds alot different from daytime stages

  16. Wait a minute ……. listen closely when he jumps from rail to rail. It sounds like ……………… JASON! Respect has gone down. But only by a little bit.

  17. juaouad July 16, 2008

is it me or does this game look too easy in sonics levels

the old games always used to have a nice difficulty

i would really like to see that coming back :(

  18. Sonicfan167 July 16, 2008

    AWSOMNESS!

  19. supersonic_64 July 16, 2008

Sonic looks strange when he jumps.

  20. KuroBit July 16, 2008

I’m glad to see that the game has Sonic Adventure Physics (Like up goes forward, down goes backwards etc…) instead of Secret Rings movement (You couldn’t move backwards in that game right?… I’ve never played it…)

It’s just that the levels are set up fairly linearly, so it was hard to notice…

  21. juaouad July 16, 2008

sonic doesnt lose all his rings when damaged

    what the fuck is that

  22. Darkspines July 16, 2008

psst. i saw it waaaaaaaaay before you posted it. sorry i didn’t tell u, i had to leave my house

  23. @ juaouad

It looks rather challenging to me.
    - Running into walls at 300mph if you miss a button.
    - Falling into bottomless pits.
    - Running over water only to lose ring energy and drown.
    - Unable to regather rings when you hit spiked balls on the rails.
    - Screwing up the qte and going down the bad route.

If you’re a little kid this game is gonna be torture.

  24. bluehog45 July 16, 2008

ahhhhhhh cmon when is the confrenes! i think i spelled it wrong

  25. so what July 16, 2008

    @Hype92:
Big deal. It sounds the same to me, and I don’t care.

  26. juaouad July 16, 2008

when i firtst saw sonic in the game i felt a little bit anoyed by the way he looked

i didnt know what it was but it was there

i made a comparison from his looks in secret rings and unleashed from the side

i think his spikes are to large ,, i mean why,, it just makes him look crap..

in super smash bros he looks good too,, his spikes there arent so large like in unleashed

it looks much better why do they exaggerate, his spikes used to be so short and now their making them so larg that i dont even know if he can carry that bid fuckin head of his

here just an example of what i mean: http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/7499/naamloosjh3.png

i just hoped that i could tell them that

    he looks shit like ass

    the werewolf kickass though

  27. Darkspines July 16, 2008

erm, thats kinds extreme, cool down.

  28. juaouad July 16, 2008

im like a diehard fan since i was 4 years behind my 8 bit master system..

i cant do anything about it,, the details for me are so important and i wish that the makers would understand if they would look more at the previous games:(

    Mike

he needs to lose all his rings thats just how it works man

2 times getting hit is DEAD

    not 3 4 5 6 7 8 or million

come on weve seen it in adventure 1 and 2 it worked fine

shadow the hedgehog was the first sonic game to have the element and it sucked ass!! i want them to fix this:(:’(

  29. @juaouad:

Juaoaud, Sonic DOESN’T lose all his rings in Sonic Rush (and I assume rush adventure) and that game is fine.

I have Sonic Adventure 1 and 2. No matter how many times you get hit, the ring falls right next to you… so you can easily get hit a million times. In the end, it was always the PITS that made people lose.

    You’re just being negative.

  30. @juaouad:

    Have you played Sonic Rush?

  31. you kno July 17, 2008

i need some wii info on this game

  32. juaouad July 17, 2008

come on,, i get your point but dont you think i do too

wasnt that the charm of a sonic game,

like doing a boss level and get hit losing all your rings and do everything to keep that one ring in your possesion..

*sonic rush adventure didnt have it*

maybe i am being negative,,, but maybe there are some people that would understand me

  33. Actually, I don’t remember… I think you DO lose all your rings in Sonic Rush…

  34. juaouad July 17, 2008

    @okay

i got both rush series in my possesion

i liked them both :D i dont remember that sonic doesnt lose all his rings in rush 1 let me check it out havent played it for long

  35. @juaouad:

juaoad, in Sonic Rush… when you get HIT often… the ring goes FURTHER away from you.

So it isn’t any easier. For example, lets say you get hit once…. the ring falls next to you. Get hit AGAIN… the ring goes further away. 3rd time… that ring is LONG…. gone. If you got hit alot during the levels… even having 2 rings would be dangerous… because… the instant another enemy touched you it would fly VERY FAR AWAY and be difficult to get.

  36. @juaouad: If you wanted them to go back to 100% old-school conventions, he wouldn’t get the cool boost meter and the rings would do NOTHING for him aside from providing 1 hit invulnerability and extra-life gain. Because rings serve a completely different function in this game, it makes more sense not to lose them ALL in one hit.

  37. No, in Sonic Rush you definitely lose all your rings… I’m confusing that with another.

  38. juaouad July 17, 2008

@okay: but you do lose all the rings

  39. Ok. That was awesome. I noticed some things on WereSonic. There were white flames going up his arms, and on the back of his spikes. I think. We’re about five months away from Sonic Unleashed. I wonder when the demo will be out . . .

  40. juaouad July 17, 2008

@ChaoticFox: putting some new elements in a game that make the game better is never wrong

but giving up on elements that were allready woring fine in the game is just lame and stupid

the old school games were the best,, i never get bored finishing sonic 3 and knuckles

it was perfect!!!! so why change the concept of losing all the rings.. did you have a problem with that ?

  41. @juaouad:
    I’m sorry, I guess you are right…

I must be thinking of Shadow the Hedgehog… or Sonic 06… I guess you are correct.

  42. @juaouad:
I wasn’t defending this game, I was only defending Sonic Rush. I remembered, that there was something “different” about rings in Sonic Rush… but I guess you are right….

However… I don’t like losing… so I’ll think of a reason to defend this game.

  43. juaouad July 17, 2008

@okay: its no problem mate, its just that im anoyd by the fact they are putting this in the new game… i just hope they make the game harder so it balances with the rings system

  44. wiinterfang July 17, 2008

    It’s in Sonic heroes.

you look rings depending how strong was the enemies attack, the same for 06 and secret rings.

  45. @juaouad: No, I didn’t. But like I said, with the new things they added, it made more sense to change the ring mechanic. If the new elements were not ring-related, I would agree that changing something that worked well for no reason at all would be stupid. But in this case, I feel it was justified.

  46. @juaouad:

You are absolutely correct! You are indeed a hardcore Sonic Fan, no doubt. I should not question you.

  47. juaouad July 17, 2008

    @wiinterfang: they all sucked

    heroes average

  48. juaouad July 17, 2008

we should complain at sonic team :P:P

  49. @juaouad:
juauouad, it’s good to speak to a worthy Sonic fan.

But I have to point something out that, even you may have missed. When Sonic got hit, he may not have lost all his rings… BUT… the time he spent “blinking” seemed very short… or even instant.

So while Sonic may not lose all of his rings, you probably cannot run around invincible for long. So it may balance out!
