Online Component confirmed for Sonic Unleashed

No word on what it may be used for, but Sonic Unleashed is now confirmed to have an online component to it.  What could it be?

Our guesses:

  • Online leaderboards for Timed portions of the game, or Minigame scores?
  • Versus mode? Doubtful after it was confirmed to be one player.
  • Downloadable content?
