In case you missed the live Sonic Unleashed footage we covered earlier, Shadow has now been a confirmed character for Sonic Unleashed. During a live hands-on demonstration, Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow we’re all confirmed to be in the game, although no mention of how they would be implemented was discussed.
I’m a bit worried about this choice, but I’m sure Shadow fans everywhere are rejoicing. So long as he doesn’t have guns in this installment… and doesn’t act all *gangsta* or any of that crap, I’d say there’s still a chance he’ll make a good addition to the game.

Robotnik has never actually taken over the world. There isn’t really anything to charge him on. What can they say? Attempted world domination?
Its really just Sonic that “knows” what Robotnik is up to. Egg Carrier is so high up in the sky, it’s mostly Sonic’s friends that knows about Robotnik’s deeds.

wouldn’t all of this set the world into panic? There wouldn’t be anyone to talk to in the Hub World. Gun would probably hunting Eggman down! Anyone ever wonder why they even have GUN? They don’t do anything. Sonic’s the one who stops Eggman! And he gets away! They never arrest HIM! They only arrest SONIC!
*Picks up newspaper*

As for Tails and Knuckles, this couldn’t be a classic sonic game without them (unless we were converting WAY back to Sonic 1)
Tails will probably bring some gizmo or gadget later on into the game to help Sonic with the Were-hog situation. And as for Knuckles, like someone mentioned, he can probably play a big role in helping restore the Emeralds.
Right, but you have to remember, at the end of Sonic 06, none of it ever happened.
They turned back time and stopped Shadow from ever going on that mission, Sonic from saving Elise, None of it.
So, maybe Shadow isn’t part of GUN or the government anymore?
and using a corrupted Chaos Emerald could be a big problem @.@;
But if Shadow is part of the Govt. then they’d most likely have him snoop around the gigantic whole in the earth for clues as to what the hell happened.
Maybe Shadow will even be the first to find Sonic after he falls from space.

Wouldn’t everything that was going on… cause the government to investigate? They’d send Shadow to check out some business.

@robert: I’ve never thought of shadow going so low as to have someone rule over him and tell him what to do. Like in SA2, Shadow sided with the doctor because they both where going towards somewhat of the same goal. And even there, he was only going along with him as long as it fulfilled his own terms…
I can handle Shadow being in the game. But I’m glad that Tails and Knuckles are confirmed to be in
shadow better be on dr. side or that dragon creature. He make the evil side a force to be raconked with.
@jorenmartijn: He had “Sonic Wind” XD Same attack, different name. And I never said he was a direct clone, just that Sega took the idea of Sonic and “updated” it for today’s market.
I’m glad Shadow’s in! And for the abilities and similarities, have you ever seen Sonic using Chaos Spear for example? It’s stupid to say Shadow’s a dark clone of Sonic. They even have different styles in their quills!
I think I went overboard with my last comment. I like shadow don’t get me wrong but hes not much of a rival for sonic anymore which is sad. They used to be like yin and yang black and white. hell shadow was like ash’s gary to sonic. Shadow had mor fighting experience then sonic. He was a way cool rival till he got one up with a gun. Adding guns might have been a way to modernize but it was in all honesty dumb. lets just hope weresonic won’t turn out to be a big disaster like shadow+gun.

For the most part, I liked Rouge, but I wouldn’t feel the slightest bit upset if she didn’t make an appearance.
