Am I selfish to say that I for one am quite relieved? All that new information at once, while definitely appreciated, simply wore me out last week… but man, the campers sure did an incredible job staying on top of everything!

Also, I’ve gotten about 20 emails already about this Black Knight nonsense already, but I don’t plan to cover it here. Yes - It looks real to me. As Camp Sonic expands, we may cover other titles, but for now, we’re strictly here for Sonic Unleashed.

gosh, all that happened! It seems to have all mushed together. I reckon the top two were (hehe like werehog, no ok) the shadow being confirmed and the werehog gameplay with that awesome new trailer
I still cant get over that trailer. The japanese site for sonic unleashed is now a favourite because of its awesome clear as crystal version of endless possibility. Got the music in my head now.

Thank you! I had a look though the list, and I do recall ONM saying about the games convention is Leipzig, Germany. That’s probably the next big thing, Hopefully SEGA will be there. They NEED to show the full opening cutscene, and we still have a quite a few questions, especially about chao.

The gameplay in the trailer is important to cover,but I am more intrested in the live demo,where we learned it is not on rails at all,and withessed real normal gameplay for the first time.

I think that’s cool David, that you’re only going to have Camp Sonic cover one title (for now). It must be hard enough keeping track of all of the Unleashed stuff anyways!

I quite like the idea of the Black Night game. Then again, I’m one of the very, VERY optimistic Sonic Fans. I pretty much Like any Sonic game, apart from Sonic ‘06. Too realistic, I prefer Sonic cartoony, that’s another reason I like Unleashed.

Okay everyone, I found some proof that says this Sonic and the Black Knight game is real. I believe it is reliable, but correct me if I am wrong. It basically says that Sega has registered a domain name with that game title. Go to this address: http://gonintendo.com/?p=49835
If it doesn’t link properly just copy and paste it. I am not too familiar with creating links in posts. Also, please people calm down about this. I am so tired of people condemning something before it is given a chance. People can be skeptical about the game if they want, but if they say it is horrible before actually seeing it in action, they usually don’t change their minds because they don’t want it to be good.
Alright, maybe it’s real. Sega is, officially, completely lacking of business savvy.
That said, I’m interested in the game…but it’s just weird timing.
Finally, is Sonic Unleashed/World Adventure a good game? fun? Nobody talks about it. Only descriptions. As far as you know, shoud i buy it?
And yes, I’m considering what to flavor my hat with if it’s real.

I think I’ve figured out the problem with the previous Sonic games starting from Sonic Heroes.
Apparently, what makes the new 3D Sonic games bad is the unco-operative camera system, slower gameplay, lack of specific features and unneccesary addition of others. Judging by the daytime gameplay, the Hedgehog Engine is starting to solve those problems.
Thanks for keeping us so up to date David Leggett. That had to have been tough to do during E3. Things should be calm for a bit now.
@slade: We’ll probably never see Wii or PS2 trailers for Sonic Unleashed on the fact that the graphics are worse. When the companies make trailers and in game previews for the game, they want to show only the best. We’ll probably only get a few screen shots and that’s it. I could be wrong though.

hey sega is do another sonic for exclusive wii called sonic and the black knight sequel of sonic and the secrets rings now sonic use a sword =D
I found it especially interesting the way that one minute everyone loved the new trailer and the werehog, and now it seems common practice to say “the daytime parts of unleashed are awsome” and out-and-out bash the werehog. one minute it’s “sonic’s back yay!” the next, “50% **** is still ****.”
what did the werehog do to deserve that? look too badass?
that’s kind of what happend to shadow (it took a bit longer for him) for being serious(ly cheesy…sorry)
It’s starting to get ridiculus how adverse to anything ‘impure’ people are getting (still black knight wtf?)

A lot of Sonic fans hate change. They want SEGA to stick to the plan, but SEGA drifts off in various directions to experiment with Sonic. A lot of people are REALLY pessimistic before the game’s release. Crickey, you should see them after the game is released! They go MENTAL for the game. (You should of seen them with SA2…)
I, for one, are fully with SEGA’s experimentation. They’re trying to find winning formulas. And anyway, They’re always be a significantly large group of people who do enjoy the game. (Even Sonic ‘06)

Okay, to all of you who are asking questions about whether he knows about the Black Knight game WITHOUT reading the post…yeah, yeah, you, read the post again. What did it say? He knows. Right.
EXCALIBAR! IT’S NOT THAT FAR! WHAT DO YA MEAN? …well, we know what they mean now. *shot for Sonic CD reference* If this is any real, if they manage to pull this sword thing off, it will be really freakin’ interesting. Sword+Homing Attack=EXTRA PAIN FOR ENEMY. On one hand, you’re being hit in the head by a hedgehog rolled up in a ball. And on the other hand, YOU’RE BEING STABBED IN THE HEAD.
…but what if the enemies are wearing armor though…yeesh, I sure hope that the game is fake, if only so I don’t have to come up with a theory to explain all of that. XD Lack of scans sure does make it seem plausible…but registering that domain? …wait, anybody could “steal” a domain, to domainsquat it….hmmm…
@DWalrus: Agreed. Unwilling to take a chance. But then again, those are usually the “classic” Sonic fans…and by classic, I mean, “can i has complete reboot of series to 2D platforming naos?” Sonic fans. You can’t reason with those sort of people.

The cool thing about Sonic games is that there’s always at least one thing thats cool about the game( in the case of Shadow the hedgehog, its the music) I too think its neat that they try to find ways to expand Sonic beyond just fast because let’s face it, it can get pretty boring if you are not careful.
and for the win, Sonic 06 IS awesome..for Playstation 3 anyway

I really want to play a demo of this game and to know it won’t be out for a few months yet is killing me. That is the one bad thing about learning about an interesting game so early, the wait for the game to come out is horrible.

I think this black night thing sounds kinda cool. Who sais sonic will actually use the sword in the gameplay. Maybe it can conduct the chaos emeralds.

Sonic Unleashed is going to be awesome! I liked Sonic 06, even with all the problems, but Unleashed looks near perfect to me.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say that. Let the test of time show that Nintendo can still make AAA titles (ex: LoZ:TP, MP3:C, SMG, SSBB, etc).
I mean, you’re talking as if they’d cross Sonic with Wii Fit. Remember, just because a game is more accesible to new players doesn’t mean that the overall experience is detracted from veterans.Nintendo would know how to handle Sonic, especially if SEGA were to supervise development.

@retsetemag: Well…the problems with the recent Sonic titles were:
- Slower gameplay
- Unco-operative camera system
- Glitches
Sonic Unleashed has a new “Hedgehog Engine” which solves the gameplay problem, allowing Sega to bring back the traditional 2.5D feel as well as fix the camera and glitch problems. Also, a new component has been added- Sonic the Werehog. A new full-3D all-out brawl when the Sun goes down. You can block enemy attacks then return fire with crazy combos. Gameplay will be somewhat similar to The Legend of Zelda and Devil May Cry. Can be useful for those who were unable to get their hands/paws on Devil May Cry 4.

@RockerDuDe: Shadow the Hedgehog actually isn’t that bad. I own the ‘unplayable’ PS2 version and it works perfectly fine. The game does auto-fire and only an idiot would manage to Homing Attack themselves off a cliff.
@EnzeruAnimeFan: That’s Jason on the trailer and the gameplay. His contract hasn’t ended yet. It’s only been about three/four years.
And please, nobody say anything Jason. SA2’s cast didn’t do a much better job at voicing the characters, anyway. (awaiting hate mail)
