Michal Shipman contacted Camp Sonic to let us know he had put together a really slick wallpaper featuring Super Sonic from the new Sonic Unleashed Trailer. The image used in the wallpaper comes only seconds before Super Sonic blasts straight through the center of Dr Eggman’s robot, and then flies off as Eggman’s carrier ship gets blown to Kingdom Come.

@WiiFP: Definitely for the 360, but possibly also for the Wii so that I can cover all grounds on Camp Sonic (in terms of secrets, walkthroughs, etc).
@David Leggett: Thats what i was thinking, see the differenced between the engines, experience the different gameplay, you know what i mean. And do you have an xbox live account? If so, can i have your gamertag? Doesnt matter, you dont have to. And did you announce the winners? For the fanart contest. Arg, too many questions . . .

does anyone agree with me when i say we need artwork on the cover(sonic adventure series, sonic advance series, sonic rush series, sonic riders-japan etc.)i mean id love to try and draw the cover art and everything and plus it always looks cool
@NejiBK: I kinda do, but it’s a little early for that. It’s still about 4 1/2 months away. We have time. We dont even know everything in the game yet. And you can always make your own, and submit it to Dave. Just look at this whole update, its a viewer submission.
@NejiBK: If we don’t end up with a Cartoonistic Cover for the game, we will most certainly see artwork up on the official Sonic sites and probably a lot of fan art as well. As it seems to have been brought up here on this discussion, some users created some fan-art, and they looked pretty good.
The main problem for artwork covers is sometimes perception. It can look different to some, and cool to others, and bad to the rest. With 3-D renders, you get the whole sha-bang, and usually it’s visually appealing for all. Granted, I’d like the cover art to just say Sonic World Adventure with that earth in the background floating in space, but for that to happen, they’d have to change the name here, which I doubt they will.
I just want the guy to be playable in levels again. We’ve been waiting for what…..14….15 years now?

I’m guessing that cover art is pretty low on the priority list at this point. To me, it makes sense knowing the contents of a product before trying to sell it in a box.

Hey guys, I’m glad that you’re enjoying the wallpaper. This was just a prototype of what may become a definite series of wallpapers. Looks cool seeing as it was taken from a promotional video, Maybe he can redo it once the actual game is released and we get a high res screenshot of it. I like high-res wallpapers most of the time.
Well it is a Hi-Res screenshot. I took it directly from a 1680×1050 screen and cut most of the background out and kept the flame and SS.
But I plan on making a whole series with more Hi-Res screens.
