Camp Sonic

Stumbled across this gem earlier today.  Over at Amazon, if you preorder the Official Prima Strategy Guide for Sonic Unleashed, you’ll get a $6.40 discount (32% off the $20ish price I’m seeing elsewhere).  If you were thinking about getting it, this is probably your best bet at scoring one on the cheap side.  I really doubt you’ll see it cheaper than $13.59 anywhere else (but if you do fine a cheaper one, please share!)

Being a long-time shopper on Amazon, I know how their discounts tend to work.  The great thing about using Amazon, is that if there is another price drop, or large discount, they will REFUND you for whatever difference there is in the amount.  If they raise the price later on, you still get the cheapest price from the moment YOU buy it.

Also, as an extra plus, if you buy from the link above, you’ll be helping Camp Sonic by giving us a small cut of whatever you pay for it.  In short, that means we might have some extra cash to blow on prizes in the future if you go through our shameless referral link up top!

Can’t beat that!

Were-Sonic: “Yeah, man. It’s like you got a beast in you right now.”

@points out: Yeah, your right on that. The Shadow game was okay, but it did have a few problems, but I can find problems in every game, even Zelda games. Every single game I have played has had at least a camera glitch in some place of the game. I haven’t played Tails adventure yet, but I do have the game. I don’t have Tails Sky Patrol.

Thanks for the help trying to answer my question. I am getting the game for the PS3 since I never picked up a 360 since most of their games are not in my field of interest, That’s why I want to make sure the guide works for the PS3 version.

Also, the strategy guide is most likely for the Xbox 360 version… unless the Wii version is more identical than we thought.

Or, it could be for both versions. They’ll say; “if you are using an Xbox, jump over that balloon. If you are using Wii, jump under the balloon.”

I don’t think Sonic with a sword is a bad idea, the same way I do not think E-102 using a gun was a bad idea, and I do not think Shadow using a gun was a bad idea.

However, if that game is RUSHED…. and incomplete… people will blame the sword on the game’s failure… just like Shadow. Well, atleast Shadow was better than Tails’ Adventure/Sky Patrol… I couldn’t even pass the first level of those games.

@Ben: Not that I want to make Sonic and the Black Knight sound worse than people seem to already think it is. Sonic’s sword does apparently talk as his mentor. The game play images I have seen and what I read about it so far sound really nice. It sounds like Sonic slices and runs and can do some really fancy quick sword play, it also sounds like you can kill innocent people too, but you get exp. knocked out of you if do kill someone innocent or something like that.

Anyways, back on topic, does anyone know for sure which console this guide is for? Or is it one guide does all since they should be identical games with the exception of how you control the character. I usually don’t get the guides, but I may get it to help Camp Sonic out. I have picked up strategy guides on occasion and just never look at them until I have beaten the game.

@Final Rush: It’s a shame that Prima has gotten THAT low, I remember reading the CRUD of their Pokemon Red/Blue guide back when I was a kid and they had EVERYTHING~

I’ll probably just use GameFAQs if I get stuck, but hey, if anybody is planning to get the guide, good on ya. Be sure to scan the poster if they give anything to ya.

@David Leggett: Well my suggestion doesnt matter anymore. But would you be willing to do that, if we had the chance?

@Jerbba: I hope it does, because then people will be driven to not use the guide, and simply play the game.
