Seems like a good time to gauge our readers on Sonic Unleashed once again, with E3 being behind us, and some Werehog footage being unveiled. I feel better about the game. I like the Werehog idea, but in a way, the game would still be good without it. Sonic can slow down and platform in the night stages, the Werehog idea seems something extra. Then again we dont know how it works, because we dont know the whole game. Sonic Unleashed will be awesome from the E3 Demo, and just that it feels right, the game just feels right.
Yeah I’m way more exited after the E3 trailer. so far the game looks really good!
I’m even more excited than before, and I was pretty excited already!
I am realy exited about sonic unleashed and because it comes out right after my birthday so every one out there u can pre-order the game at game stop if you have’nt already done it
I’m liking it. The whole Were-hog thing was my only concern…well, my big one anyway.
I feared he would be just another gimmick, but he seems to flow quite well with the game itself.
As for my other fear (of getting TOO dizzy between screen perspective switching), I think I’ll be okay @.@;

I’m a little worried about how shadow will fit into the game, he just doesn’t have a role. Other than that the game looks perfect

After seem how cool the werehog is I’m even more excited but I’m still worried about the reviews.
reviewers make take away an entire point just because they don’t like the idea and a 7 looks a lot worse than an 8.
I’m looking forward to Sonic Unleashed and all, but how will it be any fun whatsoever in the daytime, none of the enemies attack you! They only attack you as Sonic the werehog! That’s no fun, I mean seriously, I want some action for the main character in a SONIC game.
I was thinking that the Werewolf idea was going to suck, but now it looks much, much more promising.
Yea, the reviewers are something else, it seems that if its not Halo or Gears of War type of game, they don’t like it. This is only my opinion, but i dont recall those type of games being around in any form back in the day. All i recall is Mario and Sonic, true legendary gaming. If it was not for icons like them and many others, the gaming world might not of made it.
Respect for the gaming icons has went away, and if they don’t meet the modern shootem up type games, they will always be at a 7 or 8, and thats just sad and dissrespectful.
Thats just my opinion, I feel Sonic deserves a 10.
I am more excited. I’m glad sonic is returning to his 2-D roots and is going extremely fast like he was meant to be. All my worries about the werehog have been wiped away. I am also glad that they have characters other than sonic just not too many. Lastly I like the adventure stages from sonic adventure is back because i liked those. People Sonics making a come back!
@396Productions: I agree. It just seems like Sonic turned invisible in the day time, but in his Werewolf form(At night, of course.)all the enemy’s saw him and NOW want to attack him. Or, maybe the enemy’s are to lazy at day.

I just pray they fix the loading issue from 06. Other than that, the demo was just a alpha build, so it was the worst it could be, and it ran pretty darn good, so SEGA does not have that much to fix.
I voted more worried because I only have a wii… I love the new trailers and it looks awesome on 360 and ps3, but the wii version might get a half-assed port like almost every other multiplatform game. I guess we just gotta have faith…
im excited, but i only care about the day time levels. the warehog thing is the least of my interest, but the day time looks good enough to make me forget a warehog exist. now “Sonic and the black knight” im more worried about. why cant they just stick to the original concepts for sonic? i envy mario cause of this strange obsession sega has with adding elements that dont fit. In the end, all this unnecessary “fresh take” stuff is just simply out of place.

I’m not going to pre-order the game and am still quite cautious about it especially since the version for my platform hasn’t been showcased yet. However I liked what I saw at E3, and werehog looks like it has a lot of potential so I’m a little more excited because of that.
But only time will tell…

I’m feeling REALLY good about this game. The daytime levels with normal Sonic look fantastic and the Werehog looks like it’ll be fun to play as. Sega had better not screw this one up.
Yeah i fell really exited about the game but i’d be more exited if they showed some more wii stuff for the game.

I’m more excited and I was already so excited before E3! This is the game I’ve been waiting for since Sonic Adventure 2 Battle!
All the stuff about reviewers rating gaming icons unfairly is so true. They don’t seem to realize that adding the werehog gameplay is like adding something like the treasure hunting or shooting levels in SA and SA2. It was fun and new just like the werehog will be. However I don’t need any reviews to tell me whether or not to buy this game. Getting it as soon as I can!!

SEGA is working harder on this game, as it seems.
Do you see how the rings look in night time? That’s how they were gonna look like in Sonic Next-Gen, before the day-night transition was removed. Then, these rings were replaced by boring ones, that don’t glow one bit. Now, SEGA has found a way to give this another shot. Some levels don’t have day-night transition, but they sure look like the S06 rings, don’t they?
After reading the Level article, I got less worried about the mistakes that SEGA has been making. It’s till too soon to think this game will rock “missiles”, but it’s not soon to realize it’ll be better than S06 and ShTH.
at first i was very excited when i saw the first trailer then i got even more excited when i found out that sonic is going to a warewolf but then i lost intrest when i saw that euripian gameplay video cause they didn’t stop and that worried me cause i didn’t like that feature in sonic and the secret rings but my intrest came back when i saw the gamespot interview and that’s how interested i am now i feel bad for reserving street fighter 4 first but that won’t stop me from getting sonic unleashed
I love the game! But I want To see more wii videos and screens. manly because i already reserved it at gamestop. but ill get the x360 version to!
@Sonic The Hedgehog: i know what you mean, i checked out the demo at gamespot.com, and i started counting the seconds, from the loading screen ’til the stage was finished loading, i counted ~23 seconds… pretty much like sonic 06, but as you said, it’s just the alpha build… i will try to remain optimistic about the game anyway, since it looks awesome, no matter what.

i put very excited for this game i cant wait till it comes out im tired of gaming sites always beating down on the werehog gameplay just cause they THINK it sucks i want to play the game and then state my opinion i’ve already decided to buy this game on the PS3 and the wii

@SonicFanr.1: You can see that the level finished loading before they showed it because the game timer was already at like 15 seconds. So it loaded pretty quickly I think.
Oops it they look at the screen at 7 seconds, not 15. My bad. But still good loading time. I just hope they don’t have a loading break in the middle of the levels like they did in Sonic the hedgehog 06′
I think that Sonic 06 was the alpha build when they shipped it. The game was awesome, except it was broken, unfinished. SEGA is a legendary company, every company has their bumps, but what makes them worth their rank is that they keep coming back, and trying to do a better job, SEGA does not give up. I welcome any Sonic game and respect SEGA, I just get a good feeling about this game.
Im definately, in fact, more excited about Sonic Unleashed. Sure there’s the werehog gameplay and Jason griffith(which is most likely prerecorded), but overall I’m just totally psyched for this game. As far as werehogs are concerned, it seems like just nothing more than a fair distraction from all the speed and chaos from level to level. Top that with massive levels, real world hubs, and a kick butt soundtrack and you have one of the best sonic games ever made since his debut in 1991.

Hopefully they load EVERYTHING ALL AT ONCE or something.

@Sonic The Hedgehog: I also respect SEGA with all of my heart… i was just really dissapointed with how unfinished sonic06 was, if they would’ve gotten enough time with it, it could’ve been awesome… they where apperantly even trying to implement super sonic in normal levels, but didn’t have enough time to do that (in sonic 06) they seem to be trying to do it with sonic unleashed, if they suceed, that would be awesome !, i’m gonna buy this game even if it would suck… since i’m a hardcore fan, and always have been.
Unfortunatley, i can hear it now, IGN reveiw….there saying…. “the game was great…unforutnatley the werehog stages just seemed to slow the game down, and it lacked depth….”
@KC Cross: yep, that’s even more proof on that they didn’t have enough time with the game… no game NEEDS to load that long (or that much) that was one of the mayor issues with the game.

This game, I have so much faith in it, more than any other title. Even if it’s substandard, it will be a better stand for substandard! …uh.
Yeah, I’m expecting a good review from Nintendo Power, but from the OTHER magazines? Nah. People, make your OWN conclusions. No gaming magazine can take those from you~

well the reviewers know my opinion, another thing, they didnt even lift a finger in making any of the games the review, my say is, if you didnt even contribute, dont complain if you dont like the game, and dont lower its merit on the basis of opinion. I think that each company should have their own reviewers, that way they would know everything about the game, and would give an accurate review.

Hey Camp Sonic!!! sorry I havent been commenting but Ive been watching the news and stuff! x3 Im completely excited, theres not a single thing I dont like, and the only thing I feared resulted in awesomeness xDD, 3D Sonic and classic Sonic combination, HIGH speed!, werehog levels are awesome too, dont you ever said sometime “wow this place looks awesome I wish I could explore it a bit” we can do that now, talking 2 NPCs and exploring like SA1 and the cutscenes rule!!! best openinig ever! and ummm the only thing I fear is that generic lava monster o,O I hope he doesnt turn out to be an Iblis at the end, however I still like the rest of the gameplay so it wouldnt be much of a trouble! ^^;
Wowzer! I like so totally can’t wait for sonic unleashed. With all the high speed gameplay, the story, and werehog play at night, almost nothing could go wrong, but i am a little worried about the wii version
