  1. hn….i feel extremly exited and im looking forward to branching paths(of course my first play through i try to find many shortcuts) thats why i love sonic games(sonic heroes had branching paths but i didnt like that you can see them all in pretty much the same place just going to the left/right side of it)

I feel better, seeing now the WereHog game play. It looks better than what I was going to anticipate before E3, so hopefully this game doesn’t dissapoint.

  3. Aregulardude July 23, 2008

    @KC Cross:
Yeah, definitely, especially after IGN tried cramming down the mentality that Sonic+Speed=BEST GAME EVAR!! Sonic is a platforming game with speed for added fun, so I think IGN needs a refresher in Sonic gaming. :)

  4. Sonic The Hedgehog July 23, 2008

    they need something

  5. DarkChaos July 23, 2008

I am very excited for this game, then again, I tend to be excited for any Sonic game, but this game actually looks extremely well done. I think I will have more fun than usual playing this game. Now if they only brought back the water levels everything would be perfect in my book and I am not talking about the 2D Sonic water levels that are in Sonic Rush and such. Ever since Sonic went 3D I wanted to explore a 3D underwater level in Sonic, the game is going to be excellent either way though.

  6. iNAUDiBLE July 23, 2008

@KC Cross: WERESONIC! Quit imitating the Kool Aid man!

Eggman: *busts through the wall of the internet* OH YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!

    …o_______o;; Security? D:

  7. Very, very, very excited.

It’s like Christmas, only better. You get a Werehog! Sorry for pun, heh, heh.

The town exploration is going to be my main thing in this game. I mean, jeebus, who doesn’t?

  8. werehog July 23, 2008

not exited still not much wii info[the only system I have to get this game] or any news on chao!

  9. iNAUDiBLE July 23, 2008

@ShadoHejjihoggu: I LOVED, loved, LOVED the town exploration in Sonic Adventure. I mean, Mystic Ruins at sunset and night, nothing can beat that. The graphics might be really outdated to today’s standards, but a lot of those textures are from pictures that Sonic Team took for a trip to South America, where they found out about the Mayan pyramids, the inspiration for Tikal’s name, and the sport of sandsurfing that you get to do with Tails…it adds a personal touch, and it still is a great sight to see.

Admittedly, Soleanna has its charm, but it’s way too big for so few landmarks.

So many different towns and environments are going to be in this game, and I can’t wait to see how the humans will be rendered in this game…I do hope that they’re NOT TOO short, compared to Sonic. XD

  10. OF COURSE MORE EXCITED!
    CAN’T WAIT FOR THAT GAME!

  11. RockerDuDe July 23, 2008

this game will Rock!!! but i want it to have Chaos!!!

  12. Sonic The Hedgehog July 23, 2008

They should have the Chaos, they should have them instead of the gardens, have the actual Shrine with the Master Emerald along with the 7 Chaos, and make it part of the hub world high in the sky so you can see the world.

    That would be cool.

  13. still too much 3d

  14. I love the original sonic games like the adventure series and who could forget the little fur balls debut Sonic the hedgehog. I mean the original not that piece of trash 06 game. Overall I love this game but I have a wii and love the GCN controller so basically im in love with something I don’t have.

  15. Henrique July 23, 2008

That E3 trailer was the most awesome trailer of the whole show.
But I think it would be better if most of the time we played as Sonic, not Weresonic. I mean, I liked the idead, but I hope the Werehog sequences only represent about 20% of the game.

  16. sonikdude101 July 23, 2008

im feeling great about the game, it looks this game along with the dark brotherhood will get sonic back on track which is exactly what he needs. By the way @admin
does yuji naka own a lick of sonic now? or did he give all copyrights to sega and sonic team? i mean come on he has to own at least 1% of the character he created

  17. Just have faith in sonic Sega can pull through.by the way im new to the whole replying concept but I’ve been following camp sonic for a little while.

  18. SonicFanr.1 July 23, 2008

@Noah: It is possible that the Wii version will have wii classic controller/GCN controller options (not yet confirmed) but you can always hope ;)
Yay, naive optimism! (my favorite quote from the avatar abridged series, LoL) :P

  19. Man I can’t wait for sonic unleashed !!!!4:31 pm I changed my reply name from Noah to SaruSaru

  20. enzo_gt July 23, 2008

    Indifferent.

    +1 Hype for sonic gameplay
-1 Hype for alternation of gameplay styles

    +1 hype for adventure fields
    -1 hype for no multiplayer

This game is coming along nicely, but I’m staying away from the hype train. Impress me sonic!

  21. @SaruSaru: I know that but I just hope they don’t make it too complicated.Always keep it simple

  22. Whoops I replied to myself I feel so embarrassed

  23. SonicFanr.1 July 23, 2008

@SaruSaru: why did you answer yourself ?? xD just kiddin, i agree with you.

  24. sonic the werehog July 23, 2008

eyy in the forums of mecleodgaming are a fan game of sonic unleashed sonic unleashed flash go to the mecleodgaming forums to see it

  25. I’m excited and worried, but much more excited.
    Excited because:
    -9 whole Adventure fields. -gasp-
    -Actual FAST Sonic stages.
-A lot of platforming in daytime and nighttime.
    -Story, believe it or not.
    Worried because:
-Low character development on all the characters.
I wish they’d set Sonic’s, Tails’, Knuckles’ and Dr. Robotnik’s personalities right again. I don’t care about others.

Also people are too skeptical on the werehog.
The genesis classics weren’t fast all the time – it’s a false idea entirely. The classics have mainly been platforming.
Look at Marble, Labyrinth and Scrap Brain Zones in Sonic 1.
Also, the fighting can be skipped at times.
I’m actually looking forward to the werehog the most :D

  26. can we do black knight 2 and can we have a poll to see wat the viewrs say please i love dark knight

  27. Sonic The Hedgehog July 23, 2008

yea that game looks to be good. I like the idea of Sonic taking place in different stories.

I always wanted Sonic in Skies of Arcadia, the main character Vyse reminds me of Sonic alot.

  28. Darkspines July 23, 2008

    woo! i made it 90%!

  29. Katana_Zero July 23, 2008

Yes, I’m exited and I think it will be great; But hey, we sure that the day levels will be amazing, but if the werehog levels become no amazing, but average, or even good, in compare of the day levels it will not be cool.

  30. i have a good feeling about SEGA the day levels will be awsome of course that was the main focus but the nighttime will follow it and i have a feeling i mean if u keep watching the nighttime levels you kinda get a good feel for it and pretty excited about the werehog form but still i will hold my criticism until i play it for myself but so far even if it doesnt turn out well i bet the nighttime levels like daytime will be a fun balance to enrich the game and the series.

plus nighttime levels will have alot of platforming and puzzles not just mindless brawling

  31. Sonic The Hedgehog July 23, 2008

i wonder how the town people will react to WereSonic at night, the ones who saw him during the day?

    kinda scary i bet

  32. UmbreonTheDark July 23, 2008

To be honest……I don’t know. I am excited ALOT, but I am also worried. Alot of people say the Werehog looks repetitive when you fight enemies, and I don’t know if I agree. I mean, the game is gorgeous in terms of how it looks, and the daytime gameplay is absolutely amazing, but I would have to know more about the werehog. I am still getting the game 100% but I don’t know exactly how excited I am. A bit worried, because I also don’t want the game to have glitches either, I just hope they do a really good job and impress other people when the game releases as well.

Very optimistic, and unsure at the same time.

OH and thats also because I need to know more about the other versions as well! The ones using the hedgehog engine look marvolous as of now, but we know squat about the wii/ps2 version, and that worries me alot because some people wouldn’t have the money to buy an entirely new system. If we had more information on those two verions I’d feel more confident about the game as well.

  33. omg… do you get to see people on the game and interact with them like in Sonic DX directors cut?

  34. I’m back! anyway what were you talking about?

  35. iNAUDiBLE July 23, 2008

@RockerDuDe: Yes. Yes, you do. :)

@Sonic The Hedgehog: Yeah, I just got the Nintendo Power issue featuring it, and something tells me if they pull it off, they’ll have a better game than SatSR! It has some parts that emulate the Hedgehog Engine and they don’t say anything about it being on-rails…hmmm. Not that sure with Sonic and a sword, but I’m willing to overlook how weird that idea it is if they execute it well.

You’ll have the option, COMPLETELY OPTIONAL, to play as Knuckles who can wield two swords at once and Shadow who has the special power of crippling those who have bad memories of his game, making them suffer a nervous breakdown! …I doubt that. Maybe he’s going to be more like a magic user? His Chaos powers do lead to some interesting ideas…a Chaos charged sword? A sword made of pure Chaos energy? …CHAOS LIGHTSABER? HECK YEAH.

Also, Skies of Arcadia is awesome, even though I haven’t played it yet. D:

  36. Hey can I join this conversation?

  37. did you see wii pics for unleashed? :D

  38. Stapler13 July 23, 2008

I think I have an idea of what Shadow’s role in the Unleashed story might be.

As we all know by now, the world gets broken up into pieces in Unleashed.

With the broken up, it would be practically impossible for Sonic to get from one location to another without falling to the core of the Earth. (especially since he loses the ability to go Super in this game)

Sonic would need some way to get from one part of the world to another. Heres where my Shadow theory comes into play.

After you complete each location’s day and night stage, Shadow appears and uses Chaos Control to teleport Sonic to another part of the World.

Uh oh…. as I was typing I came across a problem with my theory. Although Shadow could assist Sonic by teleporting him from place to place. I totally forgot about Tails and his airplane.

  39. if you were talking to me then sure but I can’t say much

  40. Shadow? you can’t guess whats in store for him but just hope for the best.

  41. NP has no sonic unleashed screenchots for Wii? are at least can you tell me if they look cool?

  42. Ok I feel invisible here.

  43. sorry sarusaru is just that i want to know if wii graphics for unleashed are going to look goo xD

  44. oh yeah like I said I cant say much but the ones this website offers are in a magazine so its hard to tell hope you understand.

  45. hello anyone!!!!!!!its so cold…….

  46. @iNAUDiBLE: Yeah, I remember all that.

I admit, they worked their asses off getting inspiration for SA1 for Dreamcast.

You seen Holland in Sonic Unleashed? If that IS Holland; with all those windmills about. Sorta has a Dutch feel to it.

But I would like to explore that place…Has me curious.

Sheesh, I’m usually a guru with Sonic…But, meh, been staying up late and forget what I have collected. Oh well.

  47. Spittingup July 23, 2008

@SaruSaru: Yeah… this kind of stuff happens sometimes.

  48. @ShadoHejjihoggu: Oh, no wait, it’s the Spanish Villa. Different looking windmills. Sorry for my mistake. It almost looked similar. But the windmill’s blades were completely different in perspective.

  49. @ShadoHejjihoggu: Blarg, no their friggen windmills from Greece. Damn you windmills!

  50. @SaruSaru: We all hear you :P You’re always welcome to jump into conversations here ;) If you’re responding to someone specifically, just hit the arrow at the top right of their post first.
