New Sonic Unleashed Wii Screens
Apparently, this was a bigger deal than I thought it was – cause my inbox is bulging from the seems right now. Can’t a man ever get any rest around here?
I’m joking of course, I couldn’t handle this job without so many alert viewers here. Works been pretty insane lately, and I’m also busy looking at houses right now (my box in the alley just isn’t as roomy as it once seemed), so this update’s coming a bit late.
STORM! over at the Sega Nerds Forum posted some new Sonic Unleashed Wii Screenshots and Manga (revealing what many are already speculating to be a new character) which have got folks all worked up. If you want my opinion, it’s not much – and all this attention is unwarranted – but hey, that’s just my take. I’ll be much more thrilled when I see some actual comparitive shots between the Wii platform, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3.

Manga Sonic is awesome, and its not recommended to do the first comment thing, Sonic The Hedgehog. And the Chip thing meh. I don’t even care about new characters right now, there should be more important things to be worrying about. Because someone here will say that they character shouldn’t be in. You watch.
I love his expressions. Its not something I have ever seen before in Sonic so it made me laugh.
@SpeedSpiegel: On the contrary, we may have been one of the first sites to mention it out there. You’re talking about the E3 hands on footage, right?
if this is wii screens then probably is ps2 too
@David Leggett: No. There are three videos that show the same gameplay footage but without the reps talking and with clear quality of the demo. And you can hear the music as well, which is what it means by “update.”

Looks good so far. It’d be great to have some Wii footage, but that doesn’t seem probable until release.

FINALLY! Am I dreaming? Are these actually new screens? Thanks a lot David Legget. This is just what I wanted to see. The game doesn’t even look all that bad. The color isn’t as bad as I though it would be.
Those shots are pretty sweet. Now all we need is a Wii trailer and we can compare it

This new character seems really weird. It doesn’t look like it belongs to the sonic universe. Is it a confirmed character?
I think its SO WEIRD that
SU XBOX360/PS3 has SONIC’S SHADOW following him
and
SU WII/PS2 has a CIRCLE instead of an ACTUAL SHADOW
that just SCREAMS LAZINESS haha

I’m getting a horrible feeling that the Wii version won’t be out this year, else why haven’t we got a trailer up until this late in the Unleashed schedule [it does release in November IIRC].
I can’t see anything brillant from the scans either, which is why we need a gameplay trailer to really see how it compares to the other versions [and S&TSRs].

Why would that be a bad thing? Because that would be a FANTASTIC THING!!!
That would give Sega more time to iron out any problems and glitches, and add extra polish!
I encourage Sega to delay the Wii version!

Even if you don’t find the news of a possible new character important, it should still be news posted on a Sonic Unleashed website. =) I wasn’t very thrilled with it either, but news is news, good or bad.

Yeah, that magazine was released in July, it just took me awhile to get my copy of it. I live in America and it’s a UK magazine. =) Anyways, those aren’t PS2 screens (mostly Xbox 360/PS3), I am just a bit late on posting scans of that magazine. I there weren’t many scans of it online, so better late then never.
