It may be shaky-cam, and half of the footage may involve unknowing bystanders blocking our view, but other than that, this is the first video of a full stage we’ve seen so far.
It’s Mykonos Greece, though I can’t say whether it’s the first of the stages from the world or not… but it’s a stage we’ve seen bits and pieces of before. Looks like the playtime was somewhere around 3 and a half minutes.

And is it officially confirmed that each world is one day stage and one night stage? I remember David speculating on the possibility of more than two stages per world, but I can’t remember the source material. 18 stages plus town missions and a bonus level(Sonic cliche) isn’t too bad. But if we were to get four levels…well, it doesn’t tax the hardware too much to have two daytime acts and two nightime acts. It’s just a matter of different level design, not designing new enviornments. And 36 levels would be wonderful.
I guess it’s wait and see.

Yeah, I thought that a stage for each continent made sense…
Europe (Greece, London)
South America (Brazil)
North America (New York)
Asia (China)
Africa (Africa…LOL)
Antartica (?)
Austrailia(?)
Even with Artic and Outback stages, you’d have 8 stages. There’s room for another “second” stage (like Europe having two levels). The best guesses for that would be a second Asian level(Japan, most likely) or a second North America level( San Franciso? Las Vegas? Chicago? Mexico? Texas ?). Assuming the theory is accurate, I would expect another NA level. Vegas sounds great, but Texas would fit a stereotype of the Sonic games.
This is also assuming that we really will have 9 worlds, and not more. You never know, right?

It kinda has but that’s okay since all the new stuff is revolving around screenshots. Sonic probably transformed into the Werehog since there isn’t that much light in space or something. It doesn’t matter since Sonic isn’t supposed to be realistic. Question: How do you reply to someone you want to talk to?
