Sonic Unleashed Video: Full Stage on Mykonos
It may be shaky-cam, and half of the footage may involve unknowing bystanders blocking our view, but other than that, this is the first video of a full stage we’ve seen so far.
It’s Mykonos Greece, though I can’t say whether it’s the first of the stages from the world or not… but it’s a stage we’ve seen bits and pieces of before. Looks like the playtime was somewhere around 3 and a half minutes.

i was reading the portuguese interview from gamestart, and i found out that there is an english translation to it,
the most important thing is:
It was said no one else characther would be playable in the game. Is that true? Or can we expect for others speed-based characthers like Shadow the Hedgehog or Blaze the Cat?
The main game focus will only be Sonic, as in his super-fast day-time form, as in his Werehog brutal-form. There are also small parts of the game which you’ll play as Tails piloting for Sonic route to other parts of the world and fighting enemies that attack them, but that’s all.
mayb there won’t be any more PLAYABLE characters :), which i found to be good.

@TheWaffleFactory: I am 99.999% sure Shadow will lay eyes on Were-Sonic, and CHARGE AFTER HIM.
It’s Shadow’s nature. He sees something that looks like it might be stronger than him, and will try to prove his title as ULTIMATE LIFE FORM.

Well for one part, Sonic seemed to get shot back on the grind rails.
mayb sonic boost only attracts rings while u r on the rails…
The Wii version will probably be pretty much the same as all the versions except with the controls. A lot of fans will be angry at the Wii if it didn’t and wasn’t fun at all. I am getting this game for the 360 myself since 99.99% of the people I know on Xbox Live are getting it (that like Sonic of course).
COMPLETELY OFF TOPIC ALERT: On another note, did anyone notice that in the manual of Sonic 06, on the 4th page, there is a picture of the menu screen and it shows Xbox Live for the 360…….and on page 7 they explain the maturity level and stuff for Sonic’s abilities…………sob.
Now I have to say this about Shadow: How many times has Shadow been predictable. Heroes: Was a neutral character and really wasn’t bad or good. Shadow: Well that game sure surprised us didn’t it? Sonic 06: He was… good? What the heck??? But here’s my theory: Shadow will want to pick a fight with Sonic (why? he’s Shadow duh) and then he’ll turn into Weresonic and then… uhhhhhhhhh. That’s why I don’t work for Sega. That and I’m not and adult. :mrgreen:

Sorry about a slow week at camp folks. It’s not that I’ve abandoned you, just busy. Hope you’ve been doing an OK job keeping up with things without the frequent updates. Quite a bit went on this week. By the looks of my inbox, you’ve done a pretty good job keeping an eye on things though.
@someone: I wouldn’t mind playing as shadow, he was pretty cool in 06.

but yeah main focus on sonic, i reckon at one point you will have to battle Shadow as the werehog

@WiiFP: Nah, we didn’t discard it. We sent winners prizes. However, rather than close the fan art content, I have decided that we will simply continually give out prizes to contributors of Camp Sonic — mostly on a random basis.
@David Leggett: Oh, ok. Haha, i thought you were going to present the winners here on campsonic. Are you you going to have anymore contests? Before you said you had a bundle of cash set aside for more contests, or maybe you said prizes . . .
@WiiFP: We certainly will have more giveaways and contests. Hard to say what — or when.
Right now, I’m swamped with classes and work. Since I’m currently the only one writing for Camp Sonic, that means I have less time to organize such events (or posts).
One of the big things on the To-Do list is to add Chronicles to our agenda. It’s really shaping up nicely, and I think it’s time we expand our horizons a bit more. Perhaps we’ll give away a copy of that come it’s release :)

oh and yeah on a random note everyone know that really old video of unleashed with sonic whistling the angel island tune and tossing around that ring. The japanese site for SU just put that up. No idea why their calling it new though. Hehe, i’ve got that site on favourites now cos i never get tired of endless possibilities.

There are some cool screenshots on the Japanese site as well. They mostly show werehog gameplay which I think is going to be pretty cool.
@lxMetalSonicxl: People can talk freely in the comments. I still don’t see the absolute need for forums. I think the blog format is what helps this community thrive, and stick out from the rest. We’re one of a kind in the Sonic universe.
@WiiFP: You can apply on our Jobs page if you’re interested ;) We will have to stray from Unleashed eventually — even if we just talk about Sonic in general. Unleashed won’t be interesting to us forever.

They look like a mixture of Wii and Xbox 360/PS3 screens. Some are all fuzzy and some are crystal clear

I have a DS and I hope I get Sonic Chronicles but currently my DS is having bugs. I think I’ll have to send to Nintendo unless I want parts of the game looking completely screwed up. It’s probably ’cause I’ve accidentally dropped it 3 times in about a month a while back. In the mean time play Sonic Spinball on my PS2 is fine.

david, u should fix the cookie part, but that not that important since it appears on the dropdown menu, :P, ’bout Sonic chronicles, i think u should divide campsonic according to platforms, like wii, DS, ps3, ps2, etc. so that everyone goes where they wanna go.for example i have no DS, so sonic chronicles is out of my list, we should try not focusin on just one game, but like one game per platform, perhaps… and i think we function ok with just comments, ppl can write whatever they want here, so forums is not a big deal, :P

@bill: While this is not certain proof of an Antarctica level, it is looking good. If you go to Cheatplanet.com, and search Sonic Unleashed, by the PS2 Version, the picture is Sonic running in snow. Also, like a week ago, on wikipedia, under levels it said that antarctica was one. Plus, if the Earth is split in seven. I would imagine that there is at least one level on each continent. (there are nine levels, we only know like 5 or 6, this is possible.
@bionicpoke: That’s not snow… it’s still just Mykonos. The logo on the side with the puffy white background does make it look like he’s kicking up snow though.
So far the levels are Mykonos, Europe, China, Jungle/Sand one, and now maybe an antartica one (theres usually one snowy level). Also i would like to say that considering theres 18 levels, (9 day and 9 night), each one being 5-10 minutes, i think this games gunna kick a**!

I hope this game has fun levels so that I will keep playing it over and over again. Who else loves to play the first and last levels of a Sonic game a lot more than the rest of the levels?
