I wouldn’t listen to the reviews if I were all of you.
I got a chance to play Sonic Unleashed at a friend’s house and the werehog stages were fun xD The 2D stages were okay, I mean… that is the reason why I like the 3D games better than the 2D games… it’s too repetitive going left and right… the only thing I adored was when the camera was behind Sonic and you can see where you are going @_@
oh well, I really want to get the game xD I left my friend’s house too early D:
P.S. that friend of mine isn’t a fan of Sonic… he bought the game because he thought the werehog stages looked good and he agreed…He thinks the werehog stages were better…

Sonic Unleashed is half great game and half tedious gimmick. The daytime levels will amaze you for they harken back to the 2D classics and are positively overrun with raw speed, zigzagging pathways, loop- de-loops and more, all of it complemented by responsive controls and good technology. As far as I’m concerned, these stages are so well crafted, in fact, that die-hard Hedgehog fans can probably justify purchasing the title for the sunlit selection alone. Just resign yourself to trudging through the nighttime stages as penance for the daylight ones. Come on — if you’re a Sonic fan, you should be used to sacrifice and suffering by now, anyway.
And if you’ve never liked Sonic before, the newly implemented werehog component will certainly not make you a believer in the franchise. If anything, you might come to appreciate the traditional levels by comparison.
It’s a shame, too, because this time more than any other, Sonic Team nearly had it. Indeed, had Unleashed shipped with a focus on polished daytime levels, I have no doubt that it would’ve been one of the best entrants in the franchise’s long history. But the developer’s insistence on avoiding a pure hedgehog experience at all costs has once again backfired, transforming a speedy beauty into a slow beast. )
i know i will like the werehog sections. im a big fan of hack and slashing. see this as a start
they finally learned how to make a real SONIC game.

7.2 is actually pretty good

the only thing that concerns me right now is if the 360 version gets under the 7.2
if that would be the case,, than sonic team really failed
Hot damn, if Unleashed can get a 7.2 from IGN, I have no doubts that it is a legitimately awesome game, since they gave every other Sonic game I enjoyed an unprecedented amount of ****. However, I think Unleashed is simply a taste- once we see the combat-integrated speed-levels in later Sonic games like Black Knight, which will combine the tedious combat of the Werehog with the fantastic speed levels, I think we’re bound to see the best Sonic games in a long time show up.

remember how back in the days they always made 2 versions of sonic games..
sonic 1 had a genesis and a master system version
they were both COOL and VERY different but of course the genesis version was the best of the 2.
i think were gonna have the same thing with the wii and 360. just to satisfy the wii owners they made great game for them. but the 360/ps3 version should rule.
