I hope they have something for the PS3 version of SU. The PS3 version really missed some good add ons that the Xbox 360 got on the Sonic the Hedgehog ‘06. No matter how much they inflate the Xbox version of SU, I am still getting the PS3 version, I will be annoyed if I miss all the neat things again though. Knowing how things have been going though, PS3 version of SU is going to be left out of all the add ons and things again. *sigh*

@SpeedingHedgehog: The Wii has the motion ability and even though it doesn’t have some of the levels the 360 and PS3 has, it has special levels that are only in the Wii version correct? Or is that in the PS2 version as well? So that gives it a little bit of a bonus if it is Wii exclusive. Graphics may be worse, but graphics don’t make a game. It will still be fun. I have a Wii as well, just no money to get the game right now. I do fully intend to get the Wii version, just need to make sure I can get the PS3 version first. I like my HD.
I also want to get the more expensive one of the two purchased first.

@blueblur: Well, that’s your fault… I did it too though. My curiosity is just to great for this game. I have probably spoiled about a quarter or more of the game maybe. Oh well, I haven’t watched any complete levels and so the challenge will still be there and seeing it on my TV will be much better quality than these youtube videos. I will enjoy watching the story play through however many times I play the game.

I just found this by accident when exploring Amazon. Apparently you can preorder Sonic and the Black Knight for $46.99. It is scheduled for release March 10 2009 according to Amazon if anyone cares. I would never preorder something that far in advance but I figured I would mention it anyways.

@RaveToTheGrave: No, it hasn’t changed. If you read the comment on the Sonic Stadium, Gamestop has been releasing them early with maybe some other stores. It happens sometimes, Best Buy was pretty prone to it before they got a serious complaint from a company that I can’t remember for releasing the product early.

pick up both games they are so different. the sonic levels in the wii version really are similair to the rush series and from what i saw in the trailers from the 360 ps3 versions.

Has anyone figured out Chips identity yet? Don’t tell me what it is if you guys have or not, I just wanted to ask since my younger sister and I were talking about it and we made a joke comment speculating that Chip is Gaia, since the main boss seems to be Dark Gaia. Sometimes me and my sister’s joke guesses come true so I won’t be surprised if that is the case. Still, it would be weird.

These bosses are epic.
Unfortunately…my Wii isn’t working. WTH? I’m probably going to have to return it, luckily I have the warrenty.
Man, and I’m almost at the end. I just got to Adabat :/. Oh well…
SU Wii is an 8/10 for me so far
Positives:
-Day and night levels are both fun
-Very tight controls as Sonic, Werehog controls well…mostly
-The game looks good from an artistic standpoint, and some levels look better than most Wii fair
-Music is great
-The missions aren’t that frustrating…actually, I really enjoy them.
-Alternate routes like a mother. Chun-Nan day made me die in the water…I went right instead of running through the enemy…took a spring and ran over dry land. Beautiful thing.
Negatives:
-Werehog can be tough to control when trying to fight AND platform at the same time. Luckily, this only happened…I think twice.
-Not enough daytime levels
-Somewhat inconsistent playtime, Werehog should be split up better as opposed to playing six straight stages at times.
I have a feeling you get three Werehog acts because the levels are smaller than the PS360 versions, btw. And so far…only Apotos has two real day stages.
Very solid.

Sonic is better than mario in every respect. Sure, I like mario but sonic’s better. The music, graphics, storyline, characters, gameplay . . . and yet, just because some of the sonic games over the last few years have sucked a little Mario’s suddenly their precious superstar boy who can’t go wrong and is better than everyone else and could defeat an army of werehogs with his hands tied behind his back. Just watched some werehog footage to tide me over until I get the game. (Lucky wii people) It looks exactly like crash of the titans. seriously the gameplay style is the same. Move forward, brawl a bit, platform a bit, pick up some items, fight a boss. Precisely the same, but faster.
I liked COTT, so the werehog sections are gonna be fine with me. Lucky people, already got the game, I have to wait for christmas, grumble . . . .

Both versions are worth the purchase, I’m sure. I’ll have my 360 in a couple weeks now…gives me enough time to beat SU Wii before I get it. Nice.

@KEX: speeding ticket involves beatng shamar day stage in under 7 minutes, to get blue meteor you need to clear apotos day stage in under 2:35 seconds. and to be better friends with chip you need to give him a lot of food(food also gives sonic exp) if you give chip food in chun-nan, holoska, and adabat you’ll get hidden (and funny) cut scenes

@antonio: Well, I would assume you visit every country, and do every mini-game as Sonic and the werehog for that hot-dog stand guy. He’s tanned, overweight and a enthusiastic business men you can’t miss him. If you succeed in a mini-game (speed, strength, endurance) said enthusiastic businessman will give you a tasty hot-dog.
If you think you have eaten all the hotdogs in every country, check your acheivemetns for SU. If one acheivement for eating all the hotdogs in a certain country is still locked, you know where to go.

I just bought SRA. Finally! Had to go to the city cos local stores NEVER HAVE IT! I personally prefered SR, but I’m not finished the game yet, so can’t be sure. The adventure theme IS nicely done, but I find it kinda irratating, but hey, thats just me. The levels aren’t as full of neverending pits, but may be a little easy, the snowboard level is wicked cool though
I’m enjoyin it, so thats good, and once you get further in the game the water-craft minigames actually get entertaining. oh and MARINES AUSSIE! It’s actually quite funny, I don’t even know what she’s saying half the time, took me a while to work out ‘gander’ lol. Figured it out eventually from the context. rofl
