Did Sonic and the Black Knight Suck?
Pardon our dust, we’re wondering what everyone thought of Sonic’s latest installment, Sonic and the Black Knight.
The games been out for a good month now, and we want to get an idea of what the Sonic community thought about it. Was it any better than Sonic Unleashed? About the same? Was it one of Sonic’s less proud moments?
Where do you think Sega will take our friend from here? Please share your thoughts in the comments.

I was disappointed to be honest. It was a good, solid game… for the couple hours it lasted. Sonic Unleashed I’m STILL playing. I haven’t played Sonic and the Black Knight since the day after I bought it (So I haven’t played it since March 5th) I beat it the day I got it, and finished all the missions the next day. Way to short IMO. I also thought the sword was incredibly unresponsive at times.

In my opinion black knight was a really good game but it deffinatley wasnt better then unleashed…I dunno, there was just something about unleashed that made it more fun to play.
everyone sais it sucks but i think it looks pretty good…i want it…btw ive been watching campsonic since it started but this is my first comment ever…
To tell the truth, I’ve haven’t touched my Wii or PS3 in a week, I’ve been playing Pokemon Platinum for week trying to catch a shiny… I can say, not one yet.
@dragonite: It’s the community that’s important to me here. I’m not really going to take the site one direction or another myself. I’d like to make it all community contributions that way it’s the voice of many rather than my own.
We may add some sort of way for users to post content directly to the main blog that way there’s always something to talk about right on the front page.
As always, this is a hobby and not something I can fit into my day to day schedule right now. I’m not going to name dates. It will get here when it gets here.

I loved Sonic and the Black Knight, even if it did only last me about four hours. The twist to the story at the end was one of the best ideas SEGA has ever come up with.
Well, SatBK was kinda disappointing. The graphics were awesome, as well as the music. but it’s way too easy and the levels are too short. the boss battles weren’t very good, either. the multiplayer is good, but doesn’t last very much. there is a notable time difference of ur swings and sonic’s, sometimes the controls are unresponsive, or not so good. i also didn’t like it was on rails, the game is practically just pushing forward w/ occasional swings and jumps. sonic turns, grabs onto posts, and does a whole lot of other things all on his own. but i had a good time playing, and if u guys know what the hell the game takes into consideration when giving out the stars, please let me know.
I love this game. Sonic and the Black Knight is one of my favorite games in the world. Controls are OK for me. Graphics and Music are Way Past Cool. Awesome too. Cutscenes are awesome too. I enjoyed gameplay very much.
Its not that short. Don´t forget that you must collect 7 World Rings for bonus song, find items to make weapons. Than collect all 5 stars, all Followers. I finally found out how to defeat easy Lancelot in mission: Lancelot Returns.

not ecxactly a sonic game I would consider Sonic styled but overall a good game

the game was ok. NOT EVEN CLOSE TO UNLEASHED! too easy, short and very uninspiring level design. the best thing about the game is the art; the CG is beautiful too
i havent gotten the game yet but i watched all the cutscenes on youtube…i probobly shouldnt have done that…just like i shouldnt have watched the opening cutscene for unleashed when it was leaked…but thats a bit off subject…im just bored…
Sonic and the Black Knight was very well done for a sequel to the Sonic Storybook Series. I think it SURPASSED Sonic and the Secret Rings for many reasons, one of them being you can actually control Sonic in Black Knight. The music was outstanding, I love Knight of the Wind by Crush 40 and the stage music was awesome too. The three CG’s were well done. The 2D storybook style cutscenes were better than Sonic and the Secret Rings. Yes the game’s story was kinda short but it felt longer with doing te missions. The final Boss, The Dark Queen (sweet name for a Final Boss by the way) was very good. LOVED the Excalibur Sonic form. My favorite attack was the one where Sonic jumps in the air and spins with the sword. For gameplay? I thought it was well done, except for the fact that you can sometimes be slown down a few times when swinging the sword. The missions were easier than Secret Rings and they did feature a challenge in them which is good. This game was also the first time they featured chili dogs in a Sonic game!
All in all I would give this game a 8.5/10! I hope to see more Sonic games similar to the day stages in Sonic Unleashed.

on my opinion i thinks sonic and the black knight is a great game with good combat,levels,and characters. but the one flaw is the span of the game. it is very short i say 9/10.

Anyway, Sonic and the black knight was quite good but not as good as Sonic Unleashed. The sword mechanics were alright but all you had to do in the game were perfect hits, so it got boring after a while. The performance you get out of it is good though and the story was entertaining.The graphics, I must say, were MASTERFUL! however, MAKE A LONGER GAME!!!!!! don’t waste it on graphics, they aren’t important!
If SEGA wants to make another Sonic Unleashed with the werehog then make it as close as possible to the wii version, but make the movement not so slippery and reactive. Also the boost for Sonic must be like the 360 version’s.
NO 3-D SONIC GAME WILL EVER COME CLOSE TO SONIC ADVENTURE 2.

I have Black Knight and i have finished it, it was the easiest Sonic game i’ve played for a while but the missions made it longer. The music for the game like Knight of the Wind and the stage music really suit the game. It’s really fun and the graphics are great, if there is to be a improvement i would love more sword actions, arter all, you bassicaly only have 2!
Great game, maybe a bit more improvement though 7/10!

i remember SA2 it was my first sonic game…my friend had gotten super mario sunshine and i wanted to go over to her house and play it a lot but then she traded it for SA2 and at first i was mad at her but then i absolutely fell in love with the game…

well oozaru he was human size and they found the dragonball’s in some scene’s i was hoping it would take a while to find theme but still it was awsome!!.
