Did Sonic and the Black Knight Suck?
Pardon our dust, we’re wondering what everyone thought of Sonic’s latest installment, Sonic and the Black Knight.
The games been out for a good month now, and we want to get an idea of what the Sonic community thought about it. Was it any better than Sonic Unleashed? About the same? Was it one of Sonic’s less proud moments?

im pretty sure they are real since sega is taking down topics related to this on their forum and mad gear zone and lost labyrinth sound amazing!
@kwami: Looks like it. I have listened to some of them and I am personally not impressed. I never liked many of the 16 bit songs and this is no exception.
The Lost Labyrinth music were my favorite, but all the others I listened to were mediocre at best. I may have grown up playing the 16 bit Sonic games, but most of the music I just tuned out back then and it looks like the same boat here. I’ll be focusing on playing the levels more than listening to the music anyways, so it doesn’t matter much.

Four videos covering all of Lost Labyrinth leaked it seems. This is getting ridiculous. I’m not sure I want to watch this or not.
I guess watch at your own peril of having the game completely spoiled almost.

@kwami: I can perfectly understand where you are coming from and even though it’s tempting for me to watch them, I have decided that I won’t. I am going to wait to play it myself. I took a small peek at the boss for a bit, I’ll admit, but I closed it before I see the last part of the boss fight.
I don’t want the game that spoiled for me. I want surprises and the difficulty from not expecting it.
i was unable to stop myself from watching casino street though.
@kwami: lol That was the easiest for me to avoid. I really don’t like casino levels. Their too bright and flashy typically. I like dreary castle/machinery like levels or forestry levels. I love aquatic ruin like levels the best though. I like ruins and the water levels use to hold some good challenges.

I have made various Sonic levels on LBP and I`ve made quite a rubbish DOOM music stage and a brand new (using the Sonic pack) Green hill act 1! but the BLASTED THERMONITOR RUINS THINGS!!!! :evil: grrrr…..

For the people who decided that they didn’t want the game spoiled for themselves, the official Sonic 4 website updated with the Badnik and concept art pages with Jaws.
I didn’t watch the videos and I had completely forgot about him until I saw it. I wonder if those annoying ring eating fish are still around… That’s the one I remember the most. I hope they are still there even though I hated those guys because they stopped you from jumping and running effectively underwater.

@kwami: I’m still trying to get the game at a relatively cheap price. I can’t spend much on anything right now. I want to play as Metal Sonic though. I really do think he is the best villain in the Sonic games.
Japanese version of the websites seems always to be better. Lazy American website designers…
Hey guys. I know some of guys are also Pokémon fans, too. Has anybody seen the scans for Pokémon Black and White? Those names seem sort of lackluster after the 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation games, don’t they? But who cares? The game looks a bit more cinematic than previous games. I would talk more about Sonic 4, but I’m not quite as interested in the game right now as you guys are since I wouldn’t be able to download it. Plus I have enough games to play through as it is. Pokémon SoulSilver, The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, I also got the Collectors Edition game, and I’m playing Ocarina of Time on there. I’m also trying to play Twilight Princess, but the game disc is being such a primadonna right now, it can’t seem to work more than five minutes sometimes. And Super Mario Galaxy 2 is right around the corner. I’m going to be pretty busy gaming wise this year. Mainly due to the fact that I have discovered the Zelda series with Phantom Hourglass in 2007 and Wind Waker I got last year. Wind Waker is in my top 5 of video games now. It’s such a phenomenal game.
I bet someone already brought this up, but my brother told me in future episodes of Sonic 4, you get to play as other characters. Is that true?
@Espeonic: I thought the way they’ve made it more, erm, 3D-y, for the want of a better word, was pretty cool. I kinda like the titles black and white, reminds me of the good old red/blue/yellow days.

i think black and white are kind of weird names but the game itself looks pretty amazing im just surprised that they didnt run out of ideas for the 5th generation of pokemon
@Trigger and kwami: I think the semi-third dimensional graphics look cool indeed. I just found the names sort of bland. But then again I don’t neccessarily like the name Sonic the Hedgehog 4, but the game looks fun and that’s what really matters. Plus I’m betting the themes for Black and White would be darkness and light, respectively, so those names would make sense.

i wish they would make metal sonic the main villain in a sonic game again.
@kwami: Same. He’s an interesting enemy because he has become independent from his beginning programming.
I am excited for next month. Just saw a new trailer for Rocket Knights new game and it says it will be released in May. I wonder what the price is going to be. Hope it isn’t too high, I want to play it.

@kwami: There’s really nothing new to report. If you want to go to a place that’s small but has more activity go to Sonic Zone 0 forums. I go there because it’s nice and small.
Well, nothing is going on here so I might as well ask this and see if the few people who still come here know the answer.
In SMBZ there is a banana guy that shows up a few times and explodes at least one time if I recall correctly. Where is it from or what is it playing off of? I don’t recognize it.
@DarkChaos: The voice is Cheese from Foster’s home for imaginary friends. The whole banana-says-it-and-explodes thing is just randomness from Alvin. I think it first happened in his “Random Shorts” series which are on his deviantart account – alvin-earthworm.deviantart.com
@Trigger: Okay thanks. I thought it was randomness but Mario and the others seemed to recognize it so I wasn’t so sure.

Yup that Kiminski’s sure is good, I admit maybe I`m more copying than anything else, but… so. lol. Not only he/she can have that skill ^_^
